Terms of service
These terms apply to your use of OpenJobs.
Last updated 29 October 2026
1The service and who runs it
OpenJobs provides public technical job discovery, a private experience bank and manual application preparation. Choosing Prepare creates a private draft; saving or matching never creates an application. Paid preparation combines a tailored resume and answers to collected questions. You complete and submit applications yourself on the employer site. Optional recruiter email for existing legacy subscriptions has a separate approval flow; it is not included in Prepare or Daily.
Compound Labs operates OpenJobs. In these terms, “we” means that operator. By using OpenJobs, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
2Who can use it
You must be 16 or older to use OpenJobs.
3Your account
You can sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email. Keep that sign-in method secure. You are responsible for all activity in your account.
4What you submit is your responsibility
OpenJobs does not fill or submit employer application forms. You are responsible for the materials you copy, upload and submit on the employer site, and for checking every answer and source fact before using it.
Automated review can miss mistakes. Make sure your profile, approved bank facts, resume and answers are true and that you have the right to use them. Collected questions may not cover gated or conditional fields; a job description alone is not a complete application form.
Complete any employer sign-in, conditional questions or verification yourself. Follow each employer's and each site's own rules.
5Gmail access
If you connect recruiter email with a Gmail app password, you authorize OpenJobs to read your inbox and Sent Mail over IMAP and to send the replies you approve from your account over SMTP. You are responsible for every reply you approve. You can disconnect in Settings or revoke the app password in your Google Account at any time.
6The AI
Paid preparation uses AI to tailor a resume and draft answers from approved bank facts and collected questions. Optional recruiter email can also use AI. Output can be wrong: review it before use. Legacy subscriptions may use a connected provider key, whose billing and terms apply. The privacy policy describes the data sent.
7Plans and prices
- Free: $0 for discovery, private bank storage, saves, preferences, drafts and exports.
- Prepare: $24 a month, with up to 50 preparation packs per UTC calendar month.
- Daily: $59 a month, with up to 300 preparation packs per UTC calendar month and up to 10 strong unique new recommendations a day. Fewer or no matches may qualify.
A pack combines a tailored resume and answers to collected questions. Generation is subject to the plan allowance and hosted-model budget. Failed generations, internal retries, retrieving the same prepared version, copying, exports and manual edits do not create extra pack charges. Offer availability is shown in billing. Legacy Bring your own AI ($9 monthly) and AI included ($19 monthly or $9 weekly) subscriptions retain their existing terms and are not silently converted. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added where required.
8Billing, renewal and cancellation
Stripe processes payments. A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or weekly, and you are charged the current price until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time in Settings › Plan and billing › Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and does not renew after that.
We do not refund partial billing periods unless the law requires it. If we change a price, we will tell you before your next renewal, and the new price will apply from that renewal.
9Acceptable use
Do not use OpenJobs to submit false information, impersonate anyone, send spam, break the law, or break a site's rules. Do not bypass entitlement checks or another user's access controls. We may suspend or close an account that does.
10Employers, job boards and feeds
OpenJobs depends on public job boards, feeds and employer application pages that we do not control. They can change, limit or remove access at any time, which may stop a search or a form from working. The job sources page lists the employer boards currently available. We do not guarantee that any employer will reply to or accept your application.
11No warranty and limits
OpenJobs is provided as is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for OpenJobs in the three months before the claim.
12Ending your account
You can stop at any time. Settings › Account lets you download your data and delete your account, as the privacy policy describes. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
14Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change materially affects a paid plan, we tell you by email before it takes effect. If you keep using OpenJobs after a change, you accept the new terms.
